Drawing as Seeing

A weekly class in drawing.

Because our brains need to process so much visual information so quickly, they tend to take shortcuts. These shortcuts work wonders when we need to recognize a friend's face in a crowd, but they wreak havoc on our ability to deconstruct that same face into the lines, angles, and shades that make it look the way it does.

Come and learn how to hack the visual, kinesthetic, verbal, and emotional parts of your brain -- learn to see the world as it really is, probably -- and make purty pictures, too!

The first class will be held on Saturday, April 20th from 2:00 to 4:30. Subsequent classes on subsequent Saturdays. While it is OK to miss a class, or to start in the middle, the best results will come from beginning at the beginning (it being an excellent place to start).

All skill levels are welcome; in fact, the worse you are, the faster you'll improve!

Supplies will be provided.
