Wireless mesh networks
Wireless mesh networks are growing in popularity, thanks in part to improved hardware and open-source solutions that are now available. In the US, broadband stimulus funding has recently given a boost to municipal and community wireless networks, including mesh networks.
Mesh networking meetup at Noisebridge

- Intro to mesh networking: Protocols, firmware, hardware
- Build a small mesh network in the noisebridge space
- Current projects: reflashing Meraki routers, improving Open-Mesh router stability
- Open-source management dashboard, captive portal, etc.
