Wireless mesh networks

Wireless mesh networks are growing in popularity, thanks in part to improved hardware and open-source solutions that are now available. In the US, broadband stimulus funding has recently given a boost to municipal and community wireless networks, including mesh networks.

We're holding a series of workshops at Noisebridge to learn more about mesh networking, and to work on installing mesh firmware onto proprietary hardware such as the Meraki Mini. The next meetup is scheduled for:

Date: Thursday, October 15, 2009, 6pm

Location: Noisebridge, 2169 Mission St, San Francisco, CA
