WePay is no more. Perhaps we should remove the link from this page.

Changing Noisebridge's Bitcoin Address

 Hey all,

Patrick O'Doherty here. As per Danny's email to nb-discuss https://www.noisebridge.net/pipermail/noisebridge-discuss/2014-December/045662.html
we're looking to change the Noisebridge Bitcoin address to facilitate easier exchange of BTC for USD, as Noisebridge has a need for cash monies.

The new address for the Noisebridge wallet is 1KxVgNmPdTyePLw27iixbH9yrRhNH7UfdK

It'd be fantastic to have the new bitcoin address listed on the Donate page.

If someone w/ admin rights on the wiki could update it that'd be great.

Is PayPal-reliance such a good idea?

For those desired recurring donations of $10/mo, $30/mo, $60/mo, and $100/mo, is it really best to rely on PayPal??
There continue to be a lot of highly negative things abt PayPal, as seen in at least these three sites:
- [PayPal Problems & PayPal Answers]
- [NoPayPal on Facebook]
- [PayPal Complaints, PayPal Customer Service & eBay Suspension Complaints]

Negatives expressed herein are likely keeping some donors away from Noisebridge and away from other institutions that rely on PayPal for extra incoming funds. At least these facts are coming to someone's attention.

Yeah, awesome point about PayFoe. And directed toward Mitch and the other fundraising working-groupies so much in bed with PayFoe:
Does like PF waive all its fees or offer some super steep discount to the space under NB's status as a 501(c)(3)??
And has PF made any significant monetary donations to the space during the current fundraising drive??
You'll all eventually answer these questions one way or another...

New donation idea

Convert the vending machines into reward bins for donating to noisebridge. Think of a reward for each denomination of dollar:

  • $5 gets you a set of stickers
  • $10 dated membership card for showing at the door with the rules on the back.
  • $20 ?
  • $50 gets you a NB t-shirt (multiple lanes for size)
  • $100 gets you an especially nice, laser-cut (or engraved) goodie or maybe a fob whose key will last until the end of the month.

Cheers. Mark (from Meeting_Notes_2016_08_02).

Being busty runs in my family on both sides, so I know my big boobs can be attributed to genetics. My doctor says I don't have any underlying reason I'm still growing, other than a general tendency to grow a lot for a long time. I tend to have slow steady growth instead of growth spurts. What's the reason you have big boobs? Is it genetic, do you point to a certain medical condition, or an event that caused them to grow?

My doctor has officially diagnosed me with "gigantomastia", as in, other than extremely large breasts they have also been steadily growing since she started keeping track of that. Other than that they seem to be healthy just too big. I know my mom's side has small boobs, my dad's mom had very large boobs, but not ever growing just very large from what I was told by mom but I don't have much details, she was always in a wheel chair, hunched and passed when I was young to have much record. For me growth came in spurts initially, the first ones were size only, but later it became steady as you and I notice mostly change in symptoms and weight (symmastia pain, unable to braless, balance) and what I can spot visually now is how low they reach on my body than visual changes on size, it is juts hard to get a exact view that they're "a cup bigger" at this range but I "feel" them when they're lower or in contact with new parts of my body.

This is something I've thought about posting to see if anyone else has a similar experience. My left breast is slightly bigger than my right, but when I've experienced growth, my left breast grows first and is noticeably bigger than the right one, then the right one catches up and the difference is minor again. I'm usually in denial for a few weeks when this happens. Then I accept that yes, they've grown and my left boob being much bigger for a bit wasn't due to PMS or a pulled muscle (I pulled my left lat this summer and it's still giving me problems, so easy enough to blame swelling for the difference) or any other excuse I come up with that makes sense to me at the time.

For one, genetics, there are busty women on both my maternal and paternal sides of my family, easily moreso my maternal side. I have 3rd and 4th cousins on my maternal side that are busty, and we develop early in our lives. ETA: From the history that I have been told from my mom, and great aunt, it's a physical trait that goes back to days when my ancestors came from original home(West Africa) in the slave trade and that my height and build is reminiscent of my great-great grandmom who died 25 years before I was born. I've seen a pic of her and though it's not always easy to tell from old pics I do see how I resemble and took after her. Secondly, weight gain does it for me. In nearly 2 years, I have gone up a band size and 3 cup sizes coinciding with me gaining 24 lbs since that time. My metabolism has always been slow and I have always been a bit chubby for my height(4'8") so that's a characteristic that I will always have. I don't think I have VBH, but as I said, I developed early and it's been a steady growth for the most part. My quickest development happened when from 4th grade until I started High School(9th grade) then I steadily grew until the end of my college years and then when I was 23, I was a 32LL for about 3 years until I started growing again. So it's not one event or anything like that, and I don't think I'm finished either which is weird because from what my doctor told me, the average age women stop growing is supposed to be in the early 20s but I'm 28 which is closer to my 30s but as I said, when I gain weight, "Regina" and "Lanita" gains weight along with that.

I've been growing steadily and spurty since I was 11. So I'm kind of an early bloomer, but nothing unusual. My mom's a 34HH/32J, so pretty busty, but nothing like me. Then again, my older sister is only a 32D or so and has been for a long time. By 13 it became apparent that my boobs are growing kind of out of control. Friends and family came up with theories that involved me being pregnant, me being a slut, and even stuffing my bra. LOL My doctor diagnosed me with macromastia/VBH/whatever you wanna call it when I was 15 (through this sub I learned it's actually considered gigantomastia by now, given their current weight). One plausible explanation is that I might be overreacting to some hormones like estrogen/prolactin, or producing too much of them. Basically my boobs think that I'm pregnant? That's why she won't let me go on the pill, not even for period pain. Weight changes also make them grow, and it always stays there. So I've been put on a strict diet a few years back, which made me really skinny (I'm a 28O). Boobs didn't shrink, oh what a surprise. I just hope I won't be growing much longer. At this point they're seriously interfering with me physically and sociably.

I had no idea until 2 years ago when I met my Dad's side of the family. He was adopted and all the women on my side are A cups. I thought maybe it was because I drank so much milk when I was younger. When I finally met his niece and great niece we just stared at each other. They were short, curvy with MASSIVE boobs. Mystery solved.
