If you know other people are already there, simply use your existing key to open the front gate.  The two glass front doors should be unlocked if there are other people there.  If you do not have a key, press the button labeled "Noisebridge" to ring the door pad upstairs so someone can do a crackhead test on you and determine whether to buzz you in.

If the front doors are locked, you need a key to them.  This requirement will go away once the maglocks are installed.

The maglock and PIR sensors have been provisioned, and installation is pending the de-dramafication of the issues surrounding electronic door control. Complaints fall into three main categories:
[http://www.magneticlocks.net/proddetail.asp?prod=MAG1300GF MAG1300GF]: $99.00 x 2

Passive infrared door unlock sensor: scavenged from 2nd floor (landlord has already okayed this.)

* Complaints about RFID fobs causing privacy problems due to an incomplete understanding of the proposed solution.
The other Schlage gear and the rekeying set were $317.27.
* Complaints about the licensing of the software involved in the proposed solution.

* Complaints about possible attacks against visitor privacy.
I'm going to cover the cost of the prox controller and reader.  I'll need some cable mounting hardware from the hardware store, about another $50.

Total: $367.27 (plus $248 if we need to install a new maglock.)

These doors should not, as a matter of course, be locked.  Previous policy was "You should lock the front doors as you leave if you are the last person in the building and it is not between 8-5 (any day of the week)." BUT so few NB users have keys, we have discussed with the landlord and we no longer are locking this door.

Both locks are double cylinder, for a total of 4 keyways.  The keyway closest to the southwest is damaged and doesn't work.  As a result, the procedure to lock the front doors is:
