mitch *Shelves -- discuss consensus on spending $270 in Noisebridge funds to get 3 new heavy shelves for Noisebridge. These shelves, along with reorganization work will allow for the hackshelves to be moved and completely separated from the member shelving area. Between 20 to 40 new spaces for member and projects would be produced. Cost is approx. ~$80.30 per shelf and ~$55.00 for 10 large plastic storage bins (~$5.50 each) or ~$295.90 total, tax included. Miloh 01:46, 30 March 2011 (UTC) *Buildout costs -- discuss forming consensus on allocating $1150 from Noisebridge funds: Allocate $1150 of Noisebridge funds for electrical and lumber materials to be used to finish build out work at Noisebridge in April and May. These funds would go directly for the cost of materials needed to finish the SE corner facilities cabinet, to improve the electrical options for the Dark Room and finally to improve the safety of the Elvis Wu booth. Labor would be provided free. Estimate of costs: $1000 for electrical build out costs already under implementation (10-14 awg coppers, switches and boxes, conduit), $150 for new wood (assorted $3 2x4 supports and T&G OSB at $16/piece ). Miloh 01:46, 30 March 2011 (UTC) *Shop costs -- discuss forming consensus on spending Noisebridge funds on a carpenter's HEPA air filtering bagged shop vacuum. The Noisebridge Fablab currently gets heavy use which affects the air quality throughout Noisebridge. A carpenter's Hepa vac w has 2 features which help offset the air quality issues: they can be set to switch on when dust producing equipment is running, and they use HEPA filters and bags, which improves exhaust air quality. Cost would probably be less than $600 but more than $300. The model recommended by John M. will be preferred, within this cost range. A more specific proposal detailing the exact model, cost, and benefits should be created. Miloh 01:46, 30 March 2011 (UTC) === End of Meeting === * PGP Key Signing could happen now, check the list to see who wants in on the action. * Put back the membership binder by the Shrine. * Save the meeting notes to the wiki. * Send a copy of the meeting notes to the discussion list. * Copy the Meeting Notes Template for next week's agenda and update the main wiki page's link to it. * Enjoy a cocktail with your fellow hacker or robot.
