We are organizing our presence at Maker Faire 2014!

Noisebridge booth[edit]


[1] is May 17 and 18 at the San Mateo County Expo Center. If you'd like to help set up/run the booth this year, please add your contact info below. NB should be getting several free passes for volunteers who work at least a 4-hour shift. First come, first served!

Projects/Items Displayed in the Booth[edit]

Projects:

There will be projects from noisebridge at the faire this year.

  • the space will also be decorated with light.
  • a sign will rise up from behind, announcing the presence of Nosebridge to all.


Other Items to Bring[edit]

Maker Faire Volunteering Signups[edit]

Maker Faire is a huge event with more than 100,000 people expected to attend.
In case you have never been, or have never worked a booth at the Faire, this video from our friends at Dangerous Prototypes is a nice introduction.

Please sign up for at least a couple 2 hour shifts for Saturday and Sunday.
Also, add your name and a contact email to the Volunteer Contact section below.
We will be getting in touch with you about more scheduling and badges and all.
Please help fill out the empty timeslots so we have at least 3 people at the Noisebooth during the Faire!

Education Day, Thursday May 15th[edit]

Setup Friday May 16th[edit]

Setup times for the venue: 10am-8pm
1200 - 1600 (full)

  • Monad will be driving down from Noisebridge with our gear(Maker Pass)
  • John E - some flexibility for schedule, available (Maker Pass).

Saturday May 17th[edit]

0900 - 1100 Setup

1300 - 1500 Staffing (slot open)

1500 - 1700 Staffing

1700 - 1800 Staffing and shutdown for the night

Sunday May 18th 0900-1900[edit]

9am - 11am pull out the projects and set up for the faire to open at 10am.
