Our Linux Discussion meets every Wednesday from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Turing classroom. It is an informal meeting and is wide open to any ideas relating to using the various gnu-and-other-process/Linux-based operating systems. We are not limited to but do enthusiastically encourage:

We started meeting weekly in mid-October, 2009 and have had a group develop who steadily attend each week. For other regular San Francisco Linux events see sf-lug.org (twice per month), balug.org (monthly) and OLPC-SF (monthly).
Many attendees run Debian derived distributions (including Ubuntu, eeebuntu, teams like the CaliforniaTeam) but we are using others (distrowatch.org) at home or at work such as Fedora derived (including CentOS & RHEL), BSD derived (including Darwin and Mac OSX), openSUSE.
Believe it or not, Linux events also happen outside the city borders. For the adventuresome, two good lists of such far away events are available from wiki.ubuntu.com and linuxmafia.com.
