NO CLASS ON JULY 25

I have fallen sick and won't be able to teach class this week. I am thus determined to make next week even better!

We'll start with basics of using a pen, exercises in making marks on the page, and introductions to forms of italic and blackletter. In later classes we'll make our own cola pens, 3D print letters, or laser-cut a letterpress font. Would you like to help design a NoiseBridge font?

What to bring

Recommended, but not required:

  • An phone/mp3/music player, headphones, and a few of your favorite songs
  • A ball point pen and blank printer paper
  • Any calligraphy pen, markers, ink you already have
  • Clothes that you don't mind getting a little ink on, a smock, or a very steady hand.

I will have some pens and paper too, so don't sweat it if you come last minute.

When

Thursday Evenings at 7:00pm.

We are just getting started, so if this doesn't work for you, please contact me. Sunday afternoons were another possibility.

There will be no class on Aug 15th as it's Five Minutes of Fame)
