The region itself, like all regions, is 256x256 meters (840ft), equivalent to just over 16 acres in 1:1 scaling.
The region "ChezHack" has a terrain modeled after the Bay Area with a scale of 1:256, i.e., 1 meter in OpenSim is 256 meters of it's corresponding physical terrain. In the scale of 1:256, the region represents an area of just over 40x40 miles.

Download and Install Firestorm viewer for OpenSim (be sure to select the OpenSim compatible option):
