Project Name[edit]

Clean Machine

Proposer[edit]

Noisebridge, Initial writeup by Jarrod Hicks

Summary[edit]

Deep Cleaning and Purge of NoiseBridge

What Will Be Done[edit]

Every so often the large debris within Noisebridge is being removed from the space using Monad's trailer. E-waste is being sent out regularly via Jaime. Once we have made a significant dent in the about of debris located withing NB, we will schedule a cleaning day for consensus.

During this time: Noisebridge will be run in a No Hack or Low Hack state while the space is cleared of all useless and abandoned equipment, hazards, materials, garbage, and infrastructure and Refuse from other PFA activity. Systems will be shutdown and things will be moved for cleaning. Other reorganization proposals could also occur during this time, but the emphasis will be on cleaning and purging.

What Areas in the Space Will This Affect[edit]

Entire Space

Who Will Be Doing It[edit]

So far the debris removal team has been:

Monad, Robert, Ramon, and Jarrod. Other volunteers have helped as well.

Why This Will Be Good[edit]

This is possibly at the heart of the rebase project. Over time the Noisebridge space has acquired a cache of debris. Cleaning out the space will change it dramatically. This is a projected that, in some form, is highly likely to find consensus and raise the spirits of everyone that participates and uses the space.

Why This Will Be Bad[edit]

Possibility of downtime to perform cleaning.

How Long Will It Take[edit]

Proportional to the participation of the community.

In A Fantastic World, What Extra Budget Would You Like[edit]

Funds for a dumpster if we want try for doing this in a short time period, or funds for additional trash cans if we want to do this in a more drawn out process.

Are There Any Other PFAs This Would Work Well With[edit]

After any RFP that includes purging trash or demolition work

Hackershelf Health should definitely happen on the cleaning day.

Shop Swap

Trash Stash
