nburl.net is no longer Noisebridge's URL shortener. It is offline now. We need to replace all use of nburl.net urls with noisebridge.net/shorturl urls instead.

You can make alias URLs that are reasonably short by creating stub pages with just

[[#REDIRECT pagename redirected to]]

on them.

Around the Noisebridge space are labels such as noisebridge.net/trash or noisebridge.net/sewing, which forward to pages on the wiki. By putting a short URL on equipment and objects in the space, we provide a way for people to look up more info.

Ideally, the short url should lead to a wiki page with the following:

  1. The instruction manual for this item, or any records related to it
  2. Where to put the object when you are done with it
  3. Any scheduling info related to this object, or if it is currently being used by someone else for a project
